Test fails in Maven Install but not Maven Test

I'm trying to build a project in Maven, but whenever I run "mvn install" the build fails. When I run "mvn test", however, it succeeds.

Also, when I pipe the output of the "mvn install" to a .txt file for later examination, it succeeds. Nothing else is changing about the code. Any reasons this might happen?
