Negative Test cases for Application server and SQL server

I need to write negative test cases for Application server and SQL server the following will be an architecture

UI---Application server 1----SQL server 1 Application server 2 -----SQL server 2

There will be two servers if one got crashed another server will handle it. this is the scenario can some one suggest me maximum possible negative test scenarios for this??
