Cut-off WiFi internet connection to test embedded system WiFi capabilities

I'm working on an embedded system equipped with a WiFi module.

I wrote the code to manage the WiFi connection but now I need to test the code in order to verify condition like disconnection, packet lost, ...

I think to use a PC with two Ethernet card one connected to Internet and the other connected to an access point.

Bridge the two ethernet card with a software that allow to simulate internet drops or packet lost.

Is it possibile?

Maybe I can use the WiFi card instead an Access Point.
