Generic test running until triggered automatically

I've created a generic test that when triggered manually works perfectly, it navigates to the .exe and triggers it. I have now attached it to the build definition with both the test metadata file and the meta data file but upon build completion the test still does not run any ideas? I am using visual studio 2010 ultimate in conjunction with TFS2010.
