Malicious web crawler detection testing

I'm developing a malicious crawler detector. I read a research paper named pubcrawler. According to that im developing the same as it says. It includes heuristic detection, time series analysis (traffic shape detection and crawler campaign detection). But problem is i want to know a way to test my application. I don't have any real web server logs. Can anyone guess a method for me ?
