Recommended ways to check CPack-generated packages with CTest

Are there any nice ways to define a CTest item to verify an artifact from CPack?

Can I define their dependencies rather than just running them sequentially?

cmake --build . -- package test

Do I have to write a shell script to find the latest artifact?
