VS2017 web test - how to handle paste disabled fields on HTML forms

I'm performing a web test in VS2017 of a web page that has a field blocking paste using data source. The field is not getting populated form database. How can I get around it? The javascript restriction has to stay on the field. I wonder if there is a way in VS to handle fields with paste blocked. Thanks
