BDD format testing

I am trying to learn a bdd testing format from online documentstions to use it in and orginize my test scenarios in bdd format. The question is, how can I implement test scenarios in a BDD format to cover regular authentication operation using username only? I really dont get point of that question, can you help me with that ?
