I am looking for guidance on disaster recovery testing in the cloud. Specifically the best way to trigger a failover from production to mirror.
For our on-premise disaster recovery we are able to disconnect servers from the network, triggering failover.
On AWS we don't have access to the physical networking equipment - as a result what is the best way to trigger a failover in a cloud environment.
