I need to develop a utility to check whether a webpage is up and running or down. I have done it using Python to check status codes. That is working fine, but the issue is with some websites who return the response as OK but they are not available, as in the content in them tells that the website is down.
For example take a look at following URL. http://www.centrestoneventures.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi
If anyone can come up with some logic to tackle this, please respond.
