Webservice automation testing using Go

Do you know any framework for testing http webservices in Golang? Isn't it a reinvention of the wheel writing framework on go instead of using existing frameworks e.g in Java?

My assumption Go will be much more scalable with parallel execution of thousand tests comparing with Java. Am I right?
