Are there any documentation/examples for vsts-python-api?

The documentation on GitHub is very limited. What's there does work but I don't know how to move forward. I'm specifically looking for a way to send GET requests with 5.0 API (get Test suites, get Test plans)

I've seen questions(1)(2) that use a more direct approach, but had no luck with authentication.
