Creating an AUT / Product correctly with Jubula?

I have a question related to Jubula.


I'm new to using Jubula. I'm using to test an application written in Java w/ Swing and AWT. It's a desktop application that's largely done. I'm doing all of this with Eclipse.


When I try to run the AUT agent, the AUT I created never appears in the Running AUT window. That tells me that I didn't create the AUT or Product file correctly.


When I try and create the product file, I keep getting error messages. Keep in mind:



  • I'm creating a product file for an existing application.

  • This is a desktop application, but all the tutorials said to select RCP as the application type. That's what I've created the AUT as.

  • I put the product file in the same working directory as my java project.

  • The AUT Agent Host is localhost.


Can anyone tell me how to properly create a product for an existing application? I feel like everything else will work once I can do that.


All the tutorials talk about using SimpleMail_RCP, but I want to use an existing project for this. I'll clarify any further technical details as needed.
