How to test docker

I m a student, and me and my group are working on docker. We need to produce interesting data about virtualization with conteneirs , but we are not experienced on docker neither on testing applications. The goal is to get interesting data to put in our report. For example comparing network performance between the physical machine and a container on it, access of a file, ... Our set up is three physical host with debian and installed on each of them: - 1nfs server - 1apache+owncloud which use nfs mounted volume to store users data) - 1server postgre sql They are on a local network.

Unfortunately we are running short on time (less than 10hours), that's why i m asking here for a little help. What i m asking is ideas how to do such things.
