How can you click on links with Mocha in Meteor?

I want to go from page to page in my meteor app in order to test my onboarding process. At the moment I have it like this:

$('#signUp').click();
Template.signUpWithEmail.onRendered(function() {
    chai.assert.equal($('#cool').text(), 'Cool');
})

However, I am unsure if this is the best practice. When I do not call onRendered, it doesn't seem to check the page correctly. In addition, my tests do not seem to refresh immediately.
