Test Automation - Browser embedded

How can I automate tests in a software with embedded browser?

I have a software implemented with a Chrome browser inside. When I try to use a simple web automation tool, it asks for URL, and it is not the case, I have a Windows software with embedded browser that calls an internal URL (it cannot be launch in a normal browser).

I tried to use UFT with no success. I tried other tools, but none of them work with it. I tried Selenium, it looks like it needs a URL too, but it is not the case (even with webdrivers), and selenium documentation is not even clear.

Does someone know a tool to automate a software that runs HTML5 in an easy way (with steps)?
