Cant test CRUD operations with kahlan in MYSQL (alongwith PHP)

I am using kahlan for testing my PHP functions. But due to very small documentation provided by them i not able to understand some simple issues. How can i use kahlan for testing CRUD operations in MYSQL (alongwith PHP). I hae searched internet alot but didn't found any relevant info .
