Testing if correct OS is displayed with regex

I'm writing a test in JUnit that's trying to verify that an about dialog is correctly displaying the user's OS. I've been trying to do this with regular expressions, but the problem is that I don't think different OSs follow a pattern predictable enough for regex to pick up. Is there a regex pattern I could use, or should I use another approach?
