Are there tools in Linux for USB and Ethernet compliance testing?

I'm wondering if there are open source tools in Linux which can support the compliance test of USB and Ethernet. We need to test USB2.0 and 10/100/1000M Ethernet to see if these interface pass the compliance test (or say, generate the desired IEEE test pattern for the equipment to test). Thanks.
