Let's assume I have a cluster consisting of 7 vms running a separate server each. On 3 of them I want to have an instance of the same DB. I am thinking of using sql with mirroring and replication. Are there any other tests I could perform in order to achieve high availability except for switching each DB off? I can think of trying to flood the DB with data, but is it worth? In the end I need to have a DB as fault tolerant as it could be.
