Need I Dusk for testing my laravel app?

I am reading Laravel Up and Running. It is a great books for newbies. But I have some problems about testing. Book is using visit method for crawling DOM. But I am trying it, I encounter that error: Error: Call to undefined method Tests\Unit\ExampleTest::visit()

I search and learn this error happens because of Laravel uses Dusk now.

I wonder can Dusk test everything? should I give up reading testing section from this old book?
