FIX protocol testing Scenarios

Is there a writing document ? or Script has been writing that covers all testing scenarios for FIX protocol?

Currently, i have one FiX server, I am adding another FIX server to make it redundant. I would like to test fail over and how we recover Seq # from node 1 to node 2.

Any help would be appreciated
