Passing TestNG Annotation to Cucumber Hooks

Is there any way to pass @Parameters from TestNG xml to @Before Hook of Cucumber. It displays error stating function definition cannot accept variable of java.lang.String, supported arg type is Scenario. Using Cucumber TestNG Runner in my project.
