What testing tools are available to do application profiling of a web application?

I am trying to test the performance of our standalone application, the maximum number of users that can be logged in at the same time is 1-2 but the application handles quite some load from the database. While we make introduce new features to the application the user scenarios become slower.

Is there any tools available in which I can record the scenario then play it back and get performance related stats? I am testing how our application will behave when our database grows not the concurrency between users.
