Reasons why fixture.detectChanges() might be causing testing timeouts

Adding fixture.detectChanges() in the beforeEach() method is causing my unit tests for one file to timeout. I've seen other spec.ts files with this statement in there and those work fine. What are potential reasons for this timeout?test result
