Will earl grey 2 eventually replace earl grey 1?

I was looking into different frameworks / library for iOS testing. Earl Grey seems like a solid for white-box testing(right?). However, there are two versions Earl Grey 1 & 2. Looking at there Github it seems Earl Grey 1 does not get any updates for months while Earl Grey 2 gets constant updates. So I'm wondering has anything been stated by the developers that Earl Grey 2 will be merged into Earl grey 1?
