We have a control system GUI in our company which has "severe" memory leakage problems,which freezes the software during operation.Rewriting the code is out of question so i want to know if there is a vm like application which enables me to run the program and it "virtually" collects the garbage for me, or at least prevents memory consumption which slows down the OS.Application is written in visual c++.
