Insert a single mutant to a gradle project

I am currently trying to compare different test variants for different gradle projects. Therefore I want to insert a single mutation to a test in order to create a failing build.

Has somebody an idea how I can

1. save the mutated test class (actual source code) in order to test with different tasks later on and
2. only select a single class to be mutated?
