I would like to ask about the best way to be a good bug reporter. There are 4 factors that we have to do when reporting bug :
- Isolate
- Maximize
- Externalize
- Generalize
The most interesting thing is 'maximize' based on this web : http://ift.tt/2ftWOM4
Maximize -- We can't test everything, so we sample. When we observe a bug with our sampling, odds are that we didn't randomly stumble upon the most severe incarnation of the bug using whatever sampling method we employed. Try to recreate the bug by varying your test along various axes (data, configuration, navigation path, among others). Focus your report on the "worst" version of the failure you manage to create.
Does this mean we have to do a full investigation? Should it be done by the developer? I mean, I don't want to be focused too much with one bug and waste my time on it too much. What do guys think about it?
Look forward to seeing your answer on this! :)
