In Sommerville book of Software Engineering, he mentions that component testing should focus on interface testing with the objectives of detecting 1)interface errors and 2)invalid assumptions about interfaces. Can someone explain with examples how these two can be resulted from the interface itself rather than the implementation? Thanks.
