Did Jest copy Jasmine?

I am new to web development.

After learning the Jasmine framework for testing Angular apps, I started to learn Jest to test React projects. I found the grammar of the Jest is almost the same as the Jasmine. I am curious if Jest just copied Jasmine and if Jasmine is angry about it.
