hypothesis testing in R

I have an airlines dataset that contains the date and days columns.. I need to perform an hypothesis testing to prove that the longer-duration flights mostly operates on weekends(saturday and sunday).

I have calculated the mean airtime duration for all the days and have plotted the mean data.. The sunday and saturday flights have more airtime duration than the other days..

What kind of hypothesis testing should I do to prove the below given question?

"check the hypothesis that long-haul flights are more likely to originate during the weekend?"

PS: I am an absolute beginner to R programming. Any detailed information/details would be highly helpful.
