iPhone simulator has a different IP than that of the machine

I'm testing an app which has a location selecting page. I try to set the location to my current location. However, the current location is not where I am (in a different country) and I'm not using a VPN...

The simulator doesn't have any settings to check if it has the same IP as my Mac, so I'm not really sure why this is happening...
