Is there difference between a software development engineer in test(SDET) & QA engineer?

I am having this question related with the roles from some time. I had a developer background for 3 years and now I am interning in QA. But from my role what I am doing, it looks like I am less involved in manual testing.

My work is working on developing a framework in visual studio for automation testing. I spend most of the time on code analysis, writing code in c# for test automation framework and with understanding web services.

I like this role since I feel I can give the best of my skills.

I want to know for future opportunities should I look for SDET or QA Analyst roles?

I like to work in more technical environment.
