Diameter protocol testing using Python

I am trying to find a way of testing a new compnenet designed to recieve Diameter Protocol TCP messages. I am using Python as my test programming language.

I have looked at Seagull but from what I have read this only allows messages SCTP messages to be sent. In production the system under test will only recieve Diameter messages from a 3rd party source and wont need to send so I am looking to simulate the messages I will be recieveing.
