ServiceNow test suite api

I am trying to find information on ServiceNow's developer API for read/write operations on their test suite/case/plan/instance data.

What I would like to know is if the API I'm trying to find is known by some other name or if it is a more complex task of operations against something else.

I know this is a bit woolly for an SO post, but some advice/documentation links would be very helpful.
