Is there any open source tool / library for visual validation testing that can seamlessly replace Applitools?

Currently, our framework uses Applitools which is a commercial visual validation tool. Most of our automated tests are heavily consuming Applitools screen comparisons for validations. Now, we have been asked to evaluate whether we can adopt any open source tool in place of Applitools to cut its license cost.

I have already googled about open source visual validation tools but I couldn't find a suitable match that can replace Applitools.
