Could not able to allow location permission in espresso

Using the below code to allow the permission @Rule public GrantPermissionRule mRuntimePermissionRule = GrantPermissionRule .grant(android.Manifest.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION);

Not getting any error at the console, but the 'Allow' button in the pop-up is also not getting clicked
