Fisher test in r with vector of values

can we calculate a Fisher exact test with the input when is not in a contingency matrix? For example, I have the following data:

           A B C        
"x and y"  3 5 6
"x not y"  2 4 1 
"y not x"  1 3 2
"neither"  5 9 8

from the documentation here I have seen that one normally needs a contingency matrix to operate the Fisher test. Nonetheless, I would like to create a raw under with the test and the input in the columns. Any idea on how?
