Will test case updation in qmetry affect user stories in jira?

We are trying to implement qmetry for test management and link up with issues in Kannan board. What concerns us is that if the test cases are updated after testing...will that impact the linked issues on Kannan board in Jira??

bcoz the product owners are warning that it doesn't mess the user stories or epics.
