JTREG installation problems

I am trying to build Jtreg following the instructions at the link http://ift.tt/1QEVFzh While attempting to run

make -C make

I get this error:

warning: [options] bootstrap class path not set in conjunction with -source 1.2
error: Source option 1.2 is no longer supported. Use 1.6 or later.
error: Target option 1.1 is no longer supported. Use 1.6 or later.

My JDK is 1.8 and there is no trace of JDK 1.2 in my system. How can I fix this?
