Can we reference a test scenario in Gherkin Given statement

I have multiple test cases in single file and one test case depends on the another previous one i.e.

Scenario 1: Verify scenario 1 When User performs something Then new window should open

Scenario 2: Verify scenario 2 Given: Verify scenario 1 When ... Then ... Is this valid with in gherkin?
