assisstance with elements of a bash based csv validator

I've started coding a bash script that will validate that csv. to ensure that the csv is formatted correctly and uses the right data for each field. however I'm having trouble setting the different field types to mandatory after splitting them . on to a new line

I just want it to say "the mandatory fields and not empty good job" or fail the test
