Softwaretesting: How to document a large number of regressiontests to make them findable

Our QA is doing a large number of regressiontest with a tool named Squish. What is a good / the best way to document these tests to make them findable again. We are thinking of a multidimensional, searchable solution. So that you can easily search and find a test that has to be modified without the need to scroll through a large number of testcases and read their comments.
