Testing View on Fragment using Roboelectric

I'm using Roboelectric 4.3.1 and the following is my detailed scenario:

1. I have a fragment over which View is placed.
2. By clicking on that View it changes to a detailed view.

I cannot use any deprecated API in the test source code. My test scenario is, I'll perform click on my View programmatically and it should detail view which I can verify using Roboelectric. Any help with this highly appreciated.
