BDD framework with python

I need to write a test using cucumber in software testing course.I don't have much experience in this matter, I'm just learning.Below is the scenario.

Scenario: Login, Select first item link, Add item to the shopping cart, Proceed shopping cart page, Check the item on that list is correct, Proceed to checkout, Complete and Logout,

The point I don't understand is, do I need to open a feature file for each step and do I need to close and reopen the browser for each step?There are not many Turkish resources on this subject, Also my English is not very good and i can not understand from english sources.What kind of path should I follow? Can you help me? Good day to everyone
