I'm working on documentation to articulate the type of testing performed for a customer in regard to their SQL Server database stored procedures. While I understand what we did, I am wondering if there is an official name to describe the methodology used. To explain the details, 3 tests were run for each stored procedure. One should yield a successful test, one should yield a planned exception test (like 'Username is not an optional parameter), and the last should yield an unhandled exception (more of a SQL Server error from sysmessages
). Is there a term for running tests in this way for the breadth of the database procs? Thank you.
