Best approach for testing Cordova Android application

Any suggestions on testing frameworks and best practices for an Android application developed with Cordova? I have currently explored QUnit (http://ift.tt/2xMiblW) for Unit Testing, and Appium for user interface testing (http://ift.tt/2xb0A2B) but would like to hear other suggestions.
