How to pass strings from one webpage to another

I am creating a html website that quizzes users by asking them a question and requiring them to answer a specific word or string. Basically, a website would appear asking them a question like "An idea that the continents move about the face of the planet. " for them to answer in a text input box "continental drift". If they have the wrong answer, an alert would appear and they would stuck on the same question. If they get the answer right, they would move on to the next question.

I'm trying to find a way to allow users to input strings (Sentences, paragraphs, phrases...) into answers and questions sections of the website, that way they can change the question that is being asked as well as the answer that is required to continue. Furthermore I would like the users to be able to save their strings that are being inputted to the questions, that way users can not only change their questions and answers but also save those questions and answers for use in the future. Basically I am trying to create an interface (in the form of a web page) that would allow users to enter questions and answers which would appear on other web pages designed to ask these questions.
