Testing the performance of the Automation Test Framework

I am creating an automation test framework in Java. This framework will have common functionalities. E.g. switching between the drivers (firefox, ie, android, etc), Selenium WebDriver functions wrapped in to reusable functions, database connections, reporting, etc.

My question is How do we test the performance of this Automation Test Framework? Is there any benchmark to measure the performance ?
